Dear Colleagues:

It is my point that a set of rules drafted to satisfy the techies may not be sufficiently flexible to accommodate the many variables with hoops too small for some to jump through.

In the US, we had "poll taxes" designed to keep African-Americans from voting, very effectively disenfranchising them.  We have compounded the $750 poll tax with a technical "eye of the needle".  We have disenfranchised a few of our "camels";-(

I do not suggest that we should make late changes, only that we had been smarter during the DC meeting.  Michael Palage tried to lead us down a path which would have been more fair.  Rick, on the other hand, is so in love with this techie solution that he can't see the forest for the trees.

Disappointed, BobC
