Ladies and Gentlemen:

The International Trademark Association has brought to our attention the
"Sunrise Plus Twenty" proposal to provide an exclusive period for
registered trademark owners to register their marks (and up to 20
variations) as a domain name on a discounted first-come basis in every
new commercial top level domain before that new domain is available to
the general public.

This note will confirm JCPenney's support for a mechanism, such as the
"Sunrise Plus Twenty" proposal, to protect the owners of famous
trademarks from infringment and cyberpiracy.  Thank you..
