[wg-review] MY 2 CENTS

Colleagues:

I have been "lurking" on this list for a few weeks but I feel the need to
jump in. I guess I should introduce myself since none of you probably know
me. I am Michael Gendron, a college professor. I hold several domain names
and own a small consultancy

On to my comments:

I have tried to keep up with the flood of email and develop a sense of the
issues on wg-review. This is a daunting task. To me it seems that we on
this list might not be fulfilling our mandate. As I understand our mandate
it is to "improve the decision-making process of the Names Council by more
effective outreach."(ICANN DNSO ANNOUNCEMENT 21 December 2000)

I would like to see a discussion of policy and recommendations to improve
consensus building and the decisions-making process of the Names Council.
That would be more on topic than many of the other discussions. That is why
I joined this list. What can be done to start this?

Lastly, is there any interest in a web based discussion board? I could
host/moderate one at my university.

MY 2 CENTS,
Michael
